Cosmic Comics will be having a Captain America: the First Avenger giveaway and fundraiser for the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF) on Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
The giveaway is to honor fans of all ages during Captain America’s 70 year run and the fundraiser is to support the CBLDF’s fight of first amendment rights. Cosmic Comics will be raffling off and giving away promotional items for free from Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios’ Captain America: the First Avenger motion picture, while raising money through a bake sale for the CBLDF.
Cosmic Comics will be giving 25% off all Captain America T-Shirts, Hardcovers and Graphic novels the whole weekend from July 22-24, 2011. Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the First Amendment rights of the comics’ art form and its community of retailers, creators, publishers, librarians, and readers.
