The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is excited to once again participate in the ComicsPRO Annual Meeting this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. This meeting is one of the most important weekends of the year for the comics industry, playing host to publishers, distributors, retailers, and more. For those in attendance, Deputy Director Alex Cox will be on hand to represent CBLDF.
For the third year in a row, CBLDF is delighted to host the ComicsPRO Live Auction, with Master of Ceremonies Dirk Wood (IDW Publishing’s Vice President of Marketing) and a surprise roster of guest auctioneers. Once again, the auction comes with an open bar, provided by sponsor Dynamite Entertainment (who have also donated these amazing SHADOW collections, signed by Bill Sienkiewicz!) This event begins at 8:00 p.m. with cocktail hour, and the bidding starts at 9:00 p.m.! This year’s auction list is a mix of original art, rare and out-of-print books, signed prints and portfolios, and an assortment of great donations from attending publishers IDW, Image Comics, BOOM! Studios, and more!
If you are attending retailer or sponsor, please make plans to attend the auction. Not only is it a great chance to bid on premium items, and support the CBLDF along the way, it’s a very fun night and a great chance to mix and mingle with peers and partners alike.
