Their work ensures that the fans, creators, dealers, and publishers who gather at our events are free to explore the full universe of storytelling possibilities comics offer. We’re glad to take this step in providing a more meaningful level of support for their important work.”
CBLDF provides legal and educational resources that protect the freedom to read comics. The organization is a partner in Banned Books Week, the Kids’ Right to Read Project, Free Comic Book Day, and other national institutions highlighting intellectual freedom and literacy. CBLDF’s work extends from courtrooms to classrooms to conventions, with important lectures and programs about current and historical censorship. This year, CBLDF will be exhibiting ReedPOP’s signature comics events C2E2 in Chicago on April 25 – 27 and New York Comic Con from October 9 – 12 with booth displays, programming and exclusive merchandise to thank the creators and attendees who support their work.
