SPRING INTO ACTION and Support Our Multimedia Content!

Defender #1Did you know that every year CBLDF reaches thousands of people with our multimedia resources? Aside from regular news coverage here on CBLDF.org, we now produce a podcast and a free quarterly news magazine.  CBLDF needs your membership to continue our important programming! SPRING INTO ACTION and become a member of CBLDF today so we can do more work like this:

Radio Free Comix Podcast

A mix of interviews, discussions about current Free Speech events, convention panel recordings, and archival materials, the CBLDF Podcast is a monthly event, from our keyboards to your ears. In the first year of podcasts we’ve featured interviews  with top creators, comic historians, publishers, journalists, and scholars. We’ve brought you along on our travels to conventions and other events around the country and the world, and gave you the chance to listen in on our panels and presentations like History of the Comics Code Authority.

Radio Free Comix is made possible in part by a donation from The Gaiman Foundation and support from YOU, our members. Find it on iTunes or listen to all 12 episodes (and counting) here!

CBLDF Defender Magazine

Just last month we launched CBLDF Defender, our new free quarterly news magazine coming to you from the front lines of the fight for free speech! Each issue of CBLDF Defender brings engaging creator interviews, detailed analysis of current censorship news, and in-depth features that tell the story of the people fighting for the freedom to read.

The first issue of CBLDF Defender featured Neil Gaiman with an in-depth interview on his battles with censorship. We also took you to the front lines, with news and analysis on the latest censorship battles raging in schools and libraries across the USA. We took a look at international cartoonist rights issues and the free speech fallout from the Charlie Hebdo massacre. Plus, a lively history of Bill Gaines, the U.S government, and the birth of the Comics Code!

You can find CBLDF Defender at comic book stores across the nation, on comiXology, and right here at CBLDF.org!

CBLDF Defender is made possible with the support of The Gaiman Foundation and CBLDF’s Corporate Members — ABRAMS, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, BOOM! Studios, comiXology, DCBS, Diamond Comic Distributors, Dark Horse Comics, DC Entertainment, Graphitti Designs, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Half Price Books, Random House, ReedPop, TFAW.com, Scholastic, SPX, and Valiant — and members like YOU. Thank you!
