Make CBLDF your first stop today at Emerald City Comic Con! We’re at Booth #2116 so come by and say hi! While you’re here, make sure to check out our killer selection of CBLDF merch and signed graphic novels. Every purchase is a donation to CBLDF (so remember that when you are explaining to your Mom/Roommate/Significant Other/Turtle why you had to bring home more books).

On the first day of the show, Seattle Public Library has joined with Emerald City Comic Con to present a full day of panels designed to educate and empower. They have built the themes around social issues for educators and librarians, but there is really a great mix for anyone who loves comics. You won’t want to miss :

CENSORED: The Comics They Don’t Want You To Read (and How to Keep ’em Circulating)

When: Thursday, Mar 01 12:30 – 1:30 PM
Where: Located at Seattle Public Library Level 4 – Room 1

Join Deb Stone and CBLDF’s own Betsy Gomez as they talk about the history of censorship in comics, from the Comics Code to Big Hard Sex Criminals, with pro tips on responding to book challenges and censorship.

Check out the full list of the Seattle Public Library’s sponsored ECCC panels here.

On Sunday make sure you come by to catch CBLDF’s panel:
