Small Press = BIG FUN!

Expo 2kThis weekend (September 15-17) in Bethesda, Maryland, comics are art and the creator is king! EXPO 2000 celebrates the artistic and the creative, championing the work of some of the world's best small press, independent, and alternative cartoonists.

More exciting than all this talent is the fact that all the proceeds from the show benefit the CBLDF.

This year, as always, a wide array of wildly talented cartoonists will gather for the annual celebration. The COMIC BOOK LEGAL DEFENSE FUND is proud to present signings by comics legend WILL EISNER, "Liberty Meadows" creator FRANK CHO, and "The Norm"'s MICHAEL JANTZE.

This year's guests also include BRIAN RALPH ("Cave-In"), ZANDER CANNON ("Top Ten"), EVAN DORKIN ("Dork"), STEVE LIEBER ("Whiteout"), PETE SICKMAN-GARNER ("Hey Mister"), CRAIG THOMPSON ("Good-Bye, Chunky Rice"), RICK VEITCH ("Tomorrow Stories"), JEFF SMITH ("Bone"), BILL GRIFFITH ("Zippy the Pinhead"), and KIM DEITCH ("Zero Zero"). The Expo's partnership with ICAF, the International Comic Arts Festival, continues this year, bringing international cartoon greats like DUPUY & BERBERIAN ("Monsieur Jean") and many other cartoonists from around the globe. But more exciting than all this talent is the fact that all the proceeds from the show benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.

Make sure you come to Bethesda this weekend and see some of the most innovative and energetic comics around.
