Jeffrey Brown
Signings: Saturday 11am, Saturday 4pm
Jeffrey Brown is the best selling author and illustrator of the Jedi Academy series as well as the Darth Vader and Son series. When he was a kid, Jeffrey always dreamed of growing up to draw comics and make books for a living – and now he’s living that dream! Jeffrey has written a number of autobiographical books for adults, humorous graphic novels about cats, and parodies like Incredible Change-Bots. Currently, Jeffrey is working on a series that has been 40,000 years in the making: Lucy & Andy Neanderthal! Lucy and Andy are a brother and sister living in the stone age, which would be hard enough between hunting mammoths and avoiding cave bears – but they also have to make new friends, stay out of trouble, and survive their prehistoric sibling rivalry! Lucy & Andy Book two: The Stone Cold Age is out now!

Pornsak Pichetshote
Signings: Saturday 12pm
Pornsak Pichetshote was a Thai-American rising star editor at DC’s Vertigo imprint where he worked on such comics perennials as The Sandman and Swamp Thing. His books have been nominated for dozens of Eisner awards—be it the award-winning Daytripper, the New York Times bestseller The Unwritten, or critical darlings like Sweet Tooth and Unknown Soldier. He left Vertigo to become an executive in DC Entertainment’s media team, where he started and oversaw DC TV’s department. Infidel marks his first major comics work as a writer.

Chip Kidd is a contemporary American graphic designer, author, and editor. He is best recognized as a graphic designer for book covers. Being a huge admirer of comic books he not only wrote some of those for DC Comics but also designed their covers. Kidd wrote Batman: Death by Design and collaborated on Bat-Manga!: The Secret History of Batman in Japan. In 2003, he worked with cartoonist and editor, Art Spiegelman, on Jack Cole’s biography, titled Jack Cole and Plastic Man: Forms Stretched to Their Limits. Kidd has also created cover concepts for some of the most popular novelists and authors of the generation including Bret Easton Ellis, Dean Koontz, Frank Miller, Mark Beyer, Donna Tartt, and Alex Ross. The film adaptation of Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park novel featured Kidd’s concept art for the novel.

They began self-publishing comics in 1993, and four the last 15 years have been published all over the world. They are best known for their work together on Daytripper, B.P.R.D., and De:Tales.

R. Sikoryak

Under the series title Masterpiece Comics, these include Crime and Punishment rendered in Bob Kane–era Batman style, entitled Dostoyevsky Comics, starring Raskol; and Waiting for Godot mixed with Beavis and Butt-Head, turned into Waiting to Go.
