Announcing CBLDF Defender – A New Quarterly News Magazine!

Comic Book Legal Defense Fund is proud to announce the CBLDF Defender, a new free quarterly news magazine coming to you from the front lines of the fight for free speech! Each issue of CBLDF Defender will bring engaging creator interviews, detailed analysis of current censorship news, and in-depth features that tell the story of the people fighting for the freedom to read! The first issue, available for order in bundles, is listed in this month’s Previews and will ship in March (JAN151241).

Neil Gaiman kicks off the first issue with an in-depth interview on his battles with censorship. We’ll take you to the front lines, with news and analysis on the latest censorship battles raging in schools and libraries across the USA. Take a look at international cartoonist rights issues and the free speech fallout from the Charlie Hebdo massacre. Plus, a lively history of Bill Gaines, the U.S government, and the birth of the Comics Code!

CBLDF Defender is made available free to individuals at comic book stores and other venues across the country, who can order the publication in bundles of 25 for $4.99 each from Diamond Previews (JAN151241). Interested parties may also subscribe directly, by mail, here.
