This Monday, February 9, is the Final Order Cut Off for Free Comic Book Day, so we wanted to take a moment at let our friends in comic shops across the world know how proud we are of this year’s Help the CBLDF… Defend Comics!, our FCBD book! It features a cover by Dean Trippe and terrific original all-ages content, spotlighting some of the most popular books for kids on the shelves today. It’s as fun a selection of all-ages and early YA stories as there’s likely to be, and if you have excited younger readers that are eager for a variety of cool comics, it’s a great place to start.
There’s a general theme of free expression and communication, and it’s overall a celebration of the right to free speech and the freedom to read. Diamond has put up a short preview for download here. FCBD also marks the start of the 96th annual Children’s Book Week, and CBLDF will be helping to facilitate events around the country.
