ALA’s Top Ten Challenged Books of 2016 list was released last week, naming This One Summer as the most challenged book of the year. In 2016, CBLDF defended This One Summer against multiple challenges claiming that it was inappropriate for young readers. Drama also made the list for the second year because of a Texas challenge claiming the book contains “politically, racially, or socially offensive” content. If you haven’t gotten a chance to read these books yet, grab a copy and decide for yourself!
