CBLDF is excited to announce that award-winning cartoonist and longtime supporter Jeffrey Brown (Darth Vader & Son, Clumsy, Lucy & Andy Neanderthal) has created this year’s CBLDF membership art! His design is featured on a slew of members-only gear, including: a membership card, ringer t-shirt, water bottle, fleece shell, and more! Members who join or renew in January will also receive an exclusive CBLDF tote bag! We’re also offering some excellent graphic novels, including Kids are Weird, Darth Vader & Son, and many more–all signed by Jeffrey Brown! Donate today to support CBLDF’s work in 2019 and show the world that you’re making a difference to protect the comics community’s First Amendment rights with this exclusive member gear!
From deploying lawyers to help comics creators facing legal emergencies to counseling educators and librarians in censorship crises, CBLDF is on the case. Our efforts in the courts helped prevent unconstitutional laws from taking effect, while our advocacy speaks powerfully for the rights of our community. Your support helps us build even more proactive resources and education to help prevent censorship.
We have membership plans for donors in every budget, each with its own premiums and benefits, and all of them are tax-deductible. Of course, the number one benefit of membership is peace of mind. You’ll know that there’s someone at the other end of the phone when a reader’s freedom to read is attacked, a retailer gets busted, a graphic novel is challenged in libraries, an artist is brought up on charges — all for exercising their First Amendment rights! Become a member of CBLDF, and help preserve comics as a vital medium for this century!
These extraordinary times require vigilance. CBLDF is ready to fight for the First Amendment. Please support our important work by joining the Fund today!
JANUARY ONLY: Anyone joining at the $50 level and above will ALSO RECEIVE A CBLDF TOTE BAG!

Retail Membership
Independent comic book, manga, and book retailers are a vital part of today’s comic book culture. Unfortunately, they are also often the first to be attacked when censorship rears its ugly head.
Since CBLDF was founded in 1986, retailers have been among the Fund’s strongest supporters, and retailers perform a valuable service by providing comics to their local communities and educating consumers. They’re also among the first to support their brethren when they come under attack, and many are doing so as Retailer Members of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Sign up your store to be a member! Join the Fund today and receive special rewards that tell your customers you’re fighting the good fight. You’ll get exclusive comics, signed prints, and more as a thank you for your support!
All stores joining receive:
- CBLDF window cling
- Annual Variant Set, and assorted educational publications as supplies last
- a CBLDF donation can
- a CBLDF membership card
