On Wednesday, we launched Paul Pope Day on eBay, the first in our series of special auctions promoting some of our rarest and most exciting products. Each auction continues for a full week (so there’s still time to bid on Paul Pope goodness!), but today we’re spotlighting SIGNED SINGLE ISSUES!
First up is George R.R. Martin’s DOORWAYS #1, signed by the Game of Thrones author himself! Where else are you going to find a signed copy of a 2010 comic book based on a proposed-yet-ultimately-shelved sci-fi series from 1992?
Next, we have ALL-STAR SUPERMAN #1, signed by writer Grant Morrison! If you’ve already read and enjoyed Morrison’s 12-issue Man of Steel masterpiece, which features breathtaking art by Frank Quitely and digital inks/colors by Jamie Grant, little explanation is needed as to why this should be added to your collection. And if you haven’t read All-Star Superman yet, what are you waiting for?
Then there’s Clive Barker’s SEDUTH #1. Not only is this special edition variant signed by a master of modern horror (see also: Hellraiser), but it includes a pair of 3-D glasses so you could enjoy Gabriel Rodriguez’s incredible 3-dimensional artwork in all its glory! That’s right — the ENTIRE comic is in 3-D!
Last but not least for Single Issue Day is a 2-pack of NOWHERE MEN variants for anyone out there who likes their science fiction mixed with Beatles references. Nowhere Men, the inventive new series by writer Eric Stephenson, artist Nate Bellegarde, and colorist Jordie Bellaire, runs on this brilliant premise: “Science is the new Rock and Roll.” The winner of this auction will receive both the ComicsPro variant and the CBLDF Liberty Variant of the first issue — signed, rare, and in near mint condition!
