Banned Books Week 2015: CBLDF Gear Bundle Helps You Celebrate This September!

Libraries, schools, and bookshops around the nation will be celebrating the freedom to read September 27 – October 8. The seven day celebration of the freedom to read will focus on Young Adult books, including the many young adult comics challenged in schools! That’s why the CBLDF is proud to present the BANNED BOOKS WEEK GEAR BUNDLE 2015!

This year, the package includes:

  • a copy of the CBLDF Banned Books Week Handbook
  • 10 “I Read Banned Comics” Stickers
  • 10 “I Read Banned Comics” Buttons
  • and the 11″ x 17″ Lady Justice poster, drawn by Michael Allred and featuring colors by Joe Quinones

The CBLDF Banned Books Week Handbook is a handy guide that will help you learn about which comics are being banned as well as how to report and fight censorship, build awareness programs, and celebrate Banned Books Week in your neighborhood! With fun tips and ideas, the Handbook is a free resource available in stores, to view online here, or enjoy a complete free download from comiXology! For a small donation, you can also order bundles of the Handbook to share with other members of your community!

With these CBLDF exclusive goodies, you can now organize your own event promoting liberty and expression from your home or classroom! Order your Banned Books Week Gear Bundle here. More tools, resources, and decoration can be found in the Banned Books Week collection the Rewards Zone.
