Not only was Bill Gaines a brilliant publisher, presiding over some of the greatest comics ever made and America’s most beloved humor magazine, he was a tireless fighter against censorship and a lifelong advocate for free speech. These items succinctly celebrate his efforts, and offer a bit of thanks to a great man, and a Titan of Comics. This set includes a ceramic mug and a tote bag. A shirt can be added for an extra donation.

Featuring the classic approval stamp of the Comics Code Authority, an image that was the industry standard for voluntary censorship for decades and now a nostalgic reminder of vintage comics, the power of this logo is both charming and also a dark reminder of stricter days.
In 2011, the CBLDF took ownership of the Comics Code Seal, and we have since used the image to raise funds for our free speech work.
This set includes a variety of items, including a ceramic mug, a travel mug, a water bottle, and an iPhone 5 case! Stick it to the authority here!
