This weekend, CBLDF is exhibiting at the MoCCA Arts Festival, the premiere alternative comic and cartoon fest in NYC that celebrates a diverse group of creators, from individuals just beginning to show and sell their work to living legends of the industry. CBLDF will be hosting the official signings for guests of honor Bill Griffith and Jillian Tamaki, as well as signings with comics icon Evan Dorkin and acclaimed cartoonist Bob Fingerman. The MoCCA Arts Festival takes place at at the 69th Regiment Armory on April 6-7, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, April 6
12:00 – 2:00 p.m.: EVAN DORKIN
Evan Dorkin is a comics artist and writer best known for his books Milk and Cheese and Dork. Dorkin is the recipient of numerous awards including the 2002 Eisner Award for Best Short Story (“The Eltingville Club in ‘The Intervention'” in Dork #9) and a 2001 Harvey Award for Best Single Issue or Story (for Superman & Batman: World’s Funnest).
2:oo – 3:00 p.m.: JILLIAN TAMAKI
Guest of Honor Jillian Tamaki is a notable, multiple award-winning voice in contemporary graphic novels and illustration. Her debut 2008 graphic novel SKIM was recognized with numerous accolades, including the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel.
3:00 – 4:00 p.m.: BILL GRIFFITH
Guest of Honor Bill Griffith’s signature character Zippy first appeared in Real Pulp #1 and debuted as a comic strip in ’76 in the Berkeley Barb. Today, Griffith continues to produce Zippy strips for more than 100 newspapers across the U.S.

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: BOB FINGERMAN
MoCCA special quest Bob Fingerman is best known for his comic series Minimum Wage, as well as the graphic novel White Like She. Fingerman has produced work regularly for Cracked, Screw, Penthouse Hot Talk, Heavy Metal, National Lampoon, and High Times. He also worked for The Village Voice, Business Week, and other periodicals.
